10-Day Development Professional Course Concludes

Adhyeta International has successfully conducted a 10-day development professional course (non-credit) at Golden Gate College. The course participants were the students of BSW third year. The course has 10-day sessions on which 30 hours course scheduled was maintained. The course was conducted from February 18 to 27, 2019.

The contents of the course were value of life and action plan; development programs/projects; communication; planning for field and team work; and how to market yourself?

The sessions were facilitated by renowned resource persons from Adhyeta International namely Kiran Chalise (Development Expert) ,Ambar Mainali (Communication Expert and Development Expert), Amrita Sharma (Development Expert)and Rabin Malla (Development Expert).

The first day session was on value of life and action plan where the students did exercise on career. mapping. From second day to fifth day the sessions were on development programs/ projects where the students did exercise on making concept paper, problem tree, logical frameworks on the given themes as health, education, women leadership and environment. On sixth and seventh days, the sessions were on communication basically public speaking, communication with donors, interview skills etc. The eighth day session was on how to market yourself in development sectors where the students identified their potentials. On ninth and tenth days the sessions were on field based planning. On ninth day, the students were oriented on field based planning whereas on tenth day, they went to the field to collect data. They visited the field of Lumanti (NGO working for child rights) at Khokana.

Through the professional training, the participants (at least 30 students of BSW studying at Golden Gate college) are now capable to get enrolled in development sector of Nepal.
